Image of one of the most beloved saints, considered the protector of animals and, therefore, patron saint of ecology. Assisi, in turn, is his hometown and where he became a preacher of the divine word, dedicating himself to the religious life.

As well as miracles, his benevolence, humility, joy and dedication to nature and the poor earned him great devotees as a guide of the Order of Friars Minor or Order of San Francisco. San Francisco was canonized almost two years after his death, which occurred in 1226, and even today many miracles are attributed to those who need it most.
